The 2017 European top scorer Harry Kane will undergo a scan on Monday having picked up a suspected ankle injury after scoring a disallowed goal against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Kane could be a major absentee to Tottenham and the three lions,With Gareth Southgate set to name his squad for the upcoming  international friendlies against Holland and Italy, before Tottenham FA Cup quarter-final against Swansea.

Nevertheless, Spurs manager Pochettino strongly believed it was too early to know how serious the injury is, that is the same ankle Kane sustained an ankle injury before.

“We need to wait until tomorrow because we need to make a scan of his ankle,” replied Pochettino when asked about the condition of the Premier League’s joint leading goalscorer.

“Of course he suffered an injury that is in the same ankle that he suffered before.

“But we hope that it’s not a massive issue.

“He felt that when he ran and twisted his ankle that it was impossible to stay on the pitch.

“Harry has a great character and is always positive, happy with the victory for the team, of course disappointed with his problem.

“But if you’re positive you start the recovery from injury from now.”

Dele Alli also seemed to have picked up a possible groin during the game.

Speaking about Alli, Pochettino added: “I don’t believe that it’s a big issue.

“We need to, in the next week, manage him. But I don’t believe it will be a big issue.”

The win means Tottenham climbed above Liverpool and into third in the Premier League Standings, after they came from behind to win Bournemouth as they continue the battle for top-four finish.

Junior Stanislas gave the host an early lead, before Spurs responded through an impressive double from Son Heung-min, Alli and Serge Aurier. Tottenham maintains their unbeaten record to 12 matches in the Premier League.
