Former Scottish footballer Ally McCoist says Chelsea fans deserve to know the future of manager Antonio Conte.
Conte’s future at Stamford Bridge has come under increasing scrutiny in recent weeks and reports suggest he could be offered a way out in the summer to resume his previous role as Italy national team coach, following Italy’s failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
Chelsea suffered a shocking 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth at home and that has intensified the spotlight on Conte and the club as a whole.
And McCoist says the Blues faithful deserves to know what is going on behind the scenes.
“At the very least the Chelsea fans need to know what’s going on at the club,” the former Scotland striker said on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“The whole scenario for the last three or four weeks hasn’t been good.
“We’ve seen it, Conte doesn’t look like a happy man. His future needs sorting out so that there is total clarification for the Chelsea supporters.
“Chelsea fans deserve to know!”
