Tottenham have completed the signing of Paris Saint-Germain speedster Lucas Moura.
Moura has penned a five and a half year deal with the club after Spurs agreed a reported £25million fee with the Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain, the Brazilian international will wear the No 27 shirt, he will be in the stands at Wembley to watch Spurs host Manchester United on Wednesday night.
Tottenham confirmed the acquisition with a video of Serge Aurier performing a handshake with team-mates Son Heung-min and Dele Alli before finally greeting his former PSG team-mate.
Moura announced his move on snapchat shortly after signing for Spurs, I’m very happy to be here. ‘It will be a pleasure to play for Tottenham. It’s a big challenge for me, a new chapter of my life.
‘I’m so excited to play, to get to know the new stadium, the fans and I am sure we will do big things together.’
Moura was deemed surplus to requirements at Paris after failing to start a single game all season and appearing just six times as a substitute. Lucas Moura managed an impressive tally of 16 goals and seven assists for PSG last season.
Moura becomes Mauricio Pochettino’s first January signing since 2015 when the north London side secured Dele Alli from MK Dons.
