Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola has warned that his team can even do better and he has vowed to take his record-breaking team to another level after an impressive season so far.

Cityzens are heading to Wembley for Carabao Cup final, for the first time under Pep Guardiola, it was a hard-fought victory over enthusiastic Bristol City who gave everything against the Premier League leaders.
However, the manager insists that lifting the Carabao Cup next month could be the start of a new dawn for his Manchester City side who he tends to keep improving to be the best in the world.

‘The club is trying to move to another level that wasn’t so in the past with previous managers Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini, and we will keep trying to get to that level,’ the manager said.

‘For a club to grow you need to win trophies. We are going to try to win the Cup finals in February and also the Premier League. Because at the end we will be judged by the number of titles we are able to win.

‘But nobody can deny what we have done so far in the last six or seven months. We won many games and that belongs to us.’
Despite missing out on top transfer target Alexis Sanchez, Pep could not hide his joy at a tremendous week after Kevin De Bruyne joined Silva, Otamendi and Fernandinho in signing a new contract.
‘You cannot imagine how good,’ he added. ‘David Silva, Nicolas Otamendi, Fernandinho and De Bruyne – this is a great news for us and it’s a highlight of what we have done so far. These four players very important for us.’
You have to be brave to play in Guardiola’s team. Bravery is one of the qualities of any team that he has managed, there is bravery in playing such a dynamic and free-flowing form of football. It’s also bravery to keep to your principles even when things are not working out and that is Pep for you.
