The French international Dimitri Payet scored such a spectacular goal for Marseille against Strasbourg during their Ligue 1 match, that the opposition keeper was forced off after sustaining serious injury.

The former West Ham star found himself in a great position with just Strasbourg’s keeper Alexandre Oukidja to beat and the forward decided to show what he’s made of.

A dazzling step-over caught the keeper out as Payet rounded him and slotted home his side’s second goal.

The skill was so fantastic such that Oukidja started to dive to his right before trying to adjust his body to his left.

The keeper fell to the floor and seemingly landed awkwardly on his leg after being deceived by Payet. Oukidja was replaced by Landry Bonnefoi following treatment on the pitch.

The match ended with a 2-0 win for Marseille, who missed a penalty. It was a well-deserved victory for Marseille.
