According to various reports reaching us, Manchester United have agreed on personal terms with Alexis Sanchez over his imminent transfer to Old Trafford, with the former Barcelona star set to become Manchester United highest earner taking home around £14million per year, £500,000-a-week before tax.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan will join Arsenal as part of the deal, though the Armenian was seen at Carrington on Wednesday.
Alexis Sanchez is understood to have demanded around £500,000 a week at Manchester City equating to £269,000 a week after tax before Manchester United became interested in signing him.
United are happy to recruit a player of Sanchez’s quality in this window no matter how much it will cost them and to snare him away from their rivals.
Arsenal believes Mkhitaryan will sign for their part of the transfer with the 28-year-old likely to be given a settlement from United to boost his contract at the Emirates.
